May 18, 2021 Nothing funny about that. But then it doesn't look as if either of them has a sense of humor anyway... Do I sense some hostility working both ways?
May 18, 2021 native person: "i'm not angry. i'm not mean. this is just my resting face."
May 18, 2021 As far as Chad is concerned, this is truth!
May 18, 2021 Chad (Nez) doesn't like to babysit and Ronnie doesn't like to be babysat.
May 18, 2021 So Arthur (McHenry), Chad (Nez), and Ronnie are related to the Ranch? Through Ronnie's mom?
I guess we'll get introduced to Todachine soon.
May 18, 2021 All in good time :)
May 23, 2021 Ohhh - that would reduce the complexity of all this... a little bit. And open new questions, of course.

The ranch might loose customers if word of the murder goes public, of course they wouldn't want that. So no really nefarious intend needed from their side (but not ruled out either). Still a bold move to send McHenry, Nez and Todachine and let them put up such a show. And they knew about the buried car with the body in it... And what did they do with the body of the girl?

This idea may reduce the complexity of what's going on but not by much.
May 24, 2021 of course :)
May 27, 2021 Is it a bad thing that I really like Chad? I dunno I just like how direct and stern he is. His tense relationship with his troublemaker lil brother is great.
May 28, 2021 I think you may be the first person to say this!

June 15, 2021 Could be that I relate to the sibling rivalry, or maybe that I really want to see his little brother get his act together. Seems like Chad cares about him a lot, but only knows how to dish out the tough kinda love.
June 15, 2021 They're not actually related :) Chad is literally assigned to "babysit" Ronnie.
June 16, 2021 Oh man, totally fooled me! :0
June 19, 2021 haha, you can see that they have reluctant relationship at best. They both tolerate each other XD
June 3, 2021 Few young readers like the heavy, and most of us are perpetual adolescents and only or younger/youngest children to boot, so your reaction is decidedly counter-cultural these days ... but I get you.
