August 3, 2021Ha ha, sometimes, and even baseball sometimes. But it's always slowest when you're waiting. At least they agree on the line of questioning...
September 23, 2021There's an absolutely fantastic work of humour by Christopher Buckley entitled Little Green Men. It has some suggestions on what might have happened to Otto. The idea is that by having "aliens" abduct low social salience Americans (they're really low prospect government agents with delusions of adequacy in an agency run by a Strom Thurmond clone with female assistants who turn away his advances), the military industrial complex could keep popular support for defense spending hgh throughout the Cold War, but a frustrated agent abducts some arrogant PBS talking head (who's pals with a Vernon Jordan clone) who irritated him on teevee …. four times.
It's by far Buckley's funniest book, way better than Thank You for Smoking or his stuff about China, and he wrote it when he was trying to get his life back in order in accordance with his family's relaxed but very conservative values. There may or may not be a connection to his life and his ability to be really funny instead of partly mean spirited - I'm not sure - but when he left the political party he made his money from and denounced the magazine his father made famous he got less funny … still funny, but like, angrier, even though reporters like him more now for assimilating.
September 23, 2021Hm, Christopher Buckley...? I think I don't know him. Thanks anyway. I like funny texts.
But you lost me at "but when he left the political party he made his money from and denounced the magazine his father made famous he got less funny … still funny, but like, angrier, even though reporters like him more now for assimilating."
That aside, what's meant by "hgh" in "defense spending hgh throughout"?
August 4, 2021He was (and still is) angry about that. Someone (a coyote?) stealing his wallet and he had to keep getting new IDs when his wallet was stolen again! Someone is having fun at his expense: a good reason to be suspicious of everyone, anyone, and feeling like a fool.

Then again, there's probably not much he likes.
